I have always loved school and learning. I couldn't wait until I was able to join band during the school day and learn flute! In high school I was in as many music classes as my schedule would allow. I was thrilled to learn that I could become a music teacher and provide students a musical experience in school.

As an alumni of KHS I was pleased when I was presented the opportunity to teach at my alma mater. The '23-'24 school year marks my 28th year teaching, 25th year teaching in Kanab schools, and my 23rd year at KHS!

I'm a graduate of Kanab High School, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Music from Southern Utah University, I taught at Ben Lomond High School for 3 years, I have been teaching in Kanab since '98, and recently earned my Master's degree in Music Education from Southern Utah University.

Although I play most of the musical instruments, my main instruments are: flute, bassoon, piano/organ, and bagpipes. I love playing music, teaching music, studying music, and just about anything to do with music. I teach at the middle school, and high school. I love all students of all ages, and they are all my favorite.

My husband Travis and I have been together for 31 years. We have 5 children (2 married) and two adorable grandchildren!
