X-Press was organized in 1987 under the direction of McKay Shields. Mrs. Terry, a student at KHS, was in that first  choir as a member and the accompanist. That first group had 12 singers, six girls and six boys. In the back up band was; piano, drums, keyboards, bass, and an occasional wind instrument or two. They traveled to other schools in the region and performed. They also received a superior rating at region and state solo/ensemble. Our current X-Press members continue the tradition of accomplishments.
